Weddings at

Your DIY Wedding location!
The Australian Rural Education Centre (AREC) is a self-funded, not for profit, community owned organisation. AREC is not linked to the local council and does not receive government funding. All funds raised, through events such as yours, go back into improving the site for future events.
The AREC site offers an affordable and convenient location for your wedding and/or reception.
Pavilion
The Small Pavilion is a well-equipped venue that includes a spacious hall, commercial kitchen, break-out room and amenities. The entire building has disabled access.
The main hall area is 15 x 30 metres with a smooth concrete floor and Pale Eucalypt colorbond walls. The main hall has the capacity to hold up to 250 people seated for a meal. Ducted air conditioning and heating has recently been installed to provide an all-weather event venue.
The commercial kitchen has been recently updated. It contains a 10-tray combi oven, 6-tray convection oven, oven/stove, pie warmer, commercial dishwasher, air conditioning and plenty of stainless steel bench space. There is a separate area that can be used as a bar. The cool room is approximately 3 x 5 metres.
Within the building there is a 6 x 10 metre carpeted and air conditioned room that can be used as a break-out room or for another purpose.
Bathroom amenities (including disabled bathroom) are accessed by hallways from the main space.

There are a wide variety of outdoor spaces and manicured gardens that are available for weddings or receptions. There is a display garden with wooden arches as well as several native gardens.
